While getting lip filler may be a slightly uncomfortable procedure, Dr. Patel offers a topical numbing application as well as an injectable numbing called a Dental Block to make the procedure very comfortable for her patients.
How long does it last?
Lip fillers generally last 6-9 months depending on your lips shape, amount injected, your body's reabsorption rate, and your desire to maintain the results.
What should you do after you recieve lip filler?
- Stay hydrated
- Gently apply an icepack to your lips (Avoid pressure)
- Avoid smoking
- Do not do rigorouis physical activited that involves heavy lifting or sweating for a few days
Side Effects?
While every patient is different here are a few side effects that can occur after getting lip injections.
- Swelling or bruising
- Infection
- Allergic reaction
