Skin Types
Normal Skin Type- Normal skin types do not present any signs of dry or oily skin. The appearance is generally luminous and radiant. The skin will not feel tight or look shiny. Normal skin types are more rare and is seen most often in children.
Dry Skin Type-Those with this skin type will experience tight and brittle skin with a lack of elasticity. Dry skin types also present with a dull and blotchy complexion, scale and flaky skin, enhanced fine lines and wrinkles, as well as a rough skin texture.
Oily Skin Type- Oily skin types present larger pores with visible shine. Those with this skin type often suffer from frequent acne breakouts. This is due to overactive sebum production.
Combination Skin Types- This skin type features two or more different skin types on the face and the condtion of the skin may change during the seasons. Most often, combination skin is defined as dry skin on the cheeks and oily skin in the T-zone which includes the forehead, nose, and chin.
Sensitive Skin Types- Sensitive skin types can be triggered by external properties. This type of skin can appear red and irritated. Those with sensitive skin may also experience itchness and burning sensation. It is important to understand what may be causing the skin sensitivity and to the avoid products that will irritate the skin further.
